Norah’s Valley Velvet Red 2018 is a de-alcoholised wine made from the Pinotage grape in the Nuy Wine of Origin Appellation. The alcohol is removed from the finished wine by using technology where the wine is put through a spinning cone. Then the wine is send through different membranes at high revolution, removing the alcohol with no additions and chemical free.
Norah’s Valley Cashmere Rose is a premium de-alcoholised wine made of the finest Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Western Cape Wine of Origin Appellation. Accordingly, it is also less than 0.05% alcohol, low in sugar and officially dry. The Norah’s Valley Cashmere Rose is the best non alcoholic wine, has low calories, and the result is a crisp delicate bodied wine.
Wine of Origin – Nuy
Composition – 100% Pinotage 2018 (Velvet Red) , 100% Sauvignon Blac (Silk White)
Maturation – 6 months in second fill French Oak Barrels (Velvet Red de-alcoholised wine)
We bring the grapes to the wine cellar and later destalked and crushed. A period of 3 days of cold maceration took place before fermentation. Punching down every three hours, three times a day for first three days extracts maximum colour, aroma, flavour and soft juicy tannins. The fermentation takes place following maturation in French Oak Barrels.
Bold, brightly-flavoured bottle is what makes this wine a go-getter.
Besides, it tastes explicitly tasty and even more it is healthy.
An elegantly labeled Burgundy-shaped bottle closed with a screw cap is for Velvet Red. In the glass, the wine is a translucent dark cherry red. Bright fruit, cherry, mulberry, and roadside brambles give an exotic aroma. The palate is delicate, though generous. The oak is there in the undertow to support the fruit. Well-balanced and harmonious in the waning aftertaste.
An elegantly labeled leaf-coloured bottle, closed with a screw cap is for Silk White. Above all, the wine in the glass is a pale golden straw. Besides bright fruited, desiccated pineapple and mango also give an exotic aroma. The palate is delicate and generous with the pineapple repeated, winter melon, mango, and an undertow of sweet tropical limes. Basically, well balanced and harmonious in the waning aftertaste. As a matter of fact, it tastes perfect for your next mocktails.
The Norah’s Valley Velvet Red de-alcoholised wine is an excellent food partner without doubt. Serving it lightly chilled will enhance your experience. Seared Tuna with a good dipping sauce, Carpaccio of Beef, and Gammon with a sweet-sour cherry sauce would all make great partners.
The Norah’s Valley Silk White is a great glass on its own, as a mid-morning refresher, as an aperitif, and is an excellent food partner without doubt. Serve chilled at between 7°C and 10°C. Crisp summery salads, chicken, fish and seafood, or goat cheese all make great partners.
